The last match they attended together was probably last July. France v Brazil...the World Cup final played before a packed 80,000 house at the Stade Francais, in Paris.
Yesterday, it was an entirely different occasion for FIFA President Sepp Blatter and his UEFA counterpart Lennart Johansson.
They were in Wales for a special rules meeting, and were taken afterwards by their FAW hosts to the Barry Town v TNS Llansantffraid.
There were approximately 79,700 less at Jenner Park than there were in Paris on that famous Summer day for the French. But FIFA and UEFA are supposed to take an interest in football at all levels - and they seemed to enjoy the League of Wales match.
The two bigwigs were captured watching the game by our Wales on Sunday photographer.
For the record Barry won the game 2-0, just failing to match the three France scored in Paris!
But after watching world-famous teams like Real Madrid and Juventus in the
past, Blatter and Johansson must have left Wales with one big question on
their lips....what does TNS stand for?
