The champions bounced back to put title pretenders Aberystwyth firmly in their place at Jenner Park yesterday.
It was a vintage display by the Dragons who showed that they will not give up their crown lightly - and the win means that once again they will be top of the table going into the new year.
Aberystwyth, who went into the game with just one defeat in the league this season even had the audacity this season to take the lead after 13 minutes.
A pin-point cross from Stephen Williams found the head of Glyndwr Hughes who looped the ball over David Wells and into the back of the net.
The response was swift and seven minutes later Barry were level as Mark Dempsey, who had an outstanding afternoon, fired in a free kick.
Aberystwyth only half cleared the danger and the ball fell to Barry player-coach Gary Barnett who volleyed home from the edge of the penalty box.
Three minutes before half-time Barry went ahead with Dempsey again involved. His cross from the left was headed down by Terry Evans and Justin Perry half-volleyed the ball into the net.
Barry always had the upper hand after that but it was 12 minutes from time before they found another route to goal.
Dempsey fed Richard Jones on the edge of the box, he turned cleverly and unleashed a superb shot that gave Martin Jones absolutely no chance.
Dempsey set up Jones again two minutes from time and when his 20 yarder rebounded from the upright Perry was on hand to ram hone his second.
Jones rounded things off in the final minute with a low drive from 15 yards.
