Even with only 10 men for the whole second half at Jenner Park yesterday, league leaders Barry Town carried too much firepower for the young Seasiders.
Gary Lloyd was dismissed after a flare up just before half-time, but it didn't seem to make any difference whatsoever.
Barry led 2-0 at the break with goals by Danny Carter after 13 and 31 minutes.
When Ryan Nicholls pulled one back for Aberystwyth, a revival seemed possible. But that was snuffed out when Carter pounced for his hat-trick. Darren Ryan, Eifion Williams and Chris Pike grabbed a goal each to complete a miserable afternoon for the Seasiders.
