It took a well-worked goal from who else but Eifion Williams to give runaway leaders Barry Town their lucky 13th league win of the season at Jenner Park yesterday.
The prolific Williams brought his league tally to an amazing 21 goals in 16 games as he headed home the only goal from six yards out just before half time.
Mark Dempsey made ground down the right hand side before finding Richard Jones who's cross saw Williams power in and guide a low header across goal into the net.
It was a hard game with few chances created on a heavy pitch which held up well and it was the strong wind that caused most of the problems.
Justin Perry and Williams both failed to take first half chances for the three time champions despite long periods of domination.
It was a more even second half and Connah's Quay could have snatched an
unlikely victory but Jamie Hughes hit one effort wide and another over the
bar when it would have been too late for Barry to do anything about it.
