Barry fight back after battle

Barry Town returned to winning ways with a hard fought 4-2 victory over midtable Bangor at Jenner Park.

With 25 goal Eifion Williams missing through injury, the omens didn't look good for Gary Barnett's side. And their championship charge suffered a further blow when centre-half Andrew York was withdrawn with an ankle injury after 10 minutes.

But two strikes in a minute just before half-time from winger Richard Jones paved the way to victory.

Ayorinde spurned an early chance for Bangor but Barry gradually took control and were well worth their 2-0 half-time lead.

Five minutes into the second period Dempsey and Jones played in Danny Carter to score from close range.

Tommy Mutton's 56th minute strike gave Bangor hope but Barry regained control when Gareth Shone volleyed in Jones' corner on the hour.

City's goalkeeper boss Lee Williams slid in his sixth penalty of the season for handball after 83 minutes.
