LEAGUE of Wales champions Barry Town chose to rest four players from their usual line-up, including influential midfielder Danny Carter. With Eifion Williams now scoring goals at Torquay and Gary Lloyd injured, Inter Cabletel manager, George Wood, knew that this was a good time to play the Dragons.
After a quiet opening period, Barry's Jodie Jenkins ran at wing back Jamie Murray and curled a left-footed shot just wide of Gary Wager's right hand post.
After 22 minutes with Inter defenders appealing for a free-kick, referee Gwilym Lewis awarded Barry a throw-in which saw Lee Barrow's header cleared by Inter defender John Wile, only for Barry's Richard Jones to smash the ball in from 12 yards.
In the last 15 minutes of the first half, Inter had three golden opportunities to draw level, only one of which troubled Barry keeper John Roberts.
Inter kept up the pressure in the second period producing a sweeping movement, involving four players, which was finished off by Simon Dyer.
Barry then proved why they are the hardest side to beat in the League of Wales by scoring with only 15 minutes to go.
A cross by Darren Davies was headed back by Justin Perry and Chris Sloan's shot was deflected off Inter's John Wile and into the net.
