THE RULES!
We are ready for Wednesday night Sept 15, I will be on early, say 7pm EST and will await the presence of Dean and Steve to get the show on the road. I added 4 more players to each teams rosters to add an element of juggling combinations. For the most part these players were the next highest vote getters in each posistion, however in some cases I choose another vote getter to try to get reps from as many teams as possible.

Below is the format and rules;

  • Simm settings; Expierence - on, Coaches affect play - on everything else turned off
  • Coaches; Steve and Dean have their GHL coaches assigned to their allstar teams, Lemaire American, Bowman Canadian conference.
  • 7 game series
  • Extra players can play 2 games max. There is no guarentee the  extra players will get to play at all, it is the GM's disgression how they wish to use these players, if at all.
  • Each goalie must play at least 3 games, however it is the coahces disgression which games they choose to play which goalies in.
  • Each team will be permitted to changes lines after each game. Since we will be online the files (dat and games results) will be sent ICQ file transfer to the GM's after each game. The Gm's may choose to leave the lines the same if no changes are wanted or if the change is minor the can ICQ message back the changes. Hopefully the pressure to win on the Gm's won't cause them too long to make their decisions after each game......hahahahaha
  • The teams will alternate home games as per the NHL 7 game format, a toss of a coin has determined that the American conference will be at home for game 1,2,5&7 The Canadian Conference will be home team for games 3,4&6.
  • At the end of the series each GM must supply the series 3 stars from the others teams.

  Series overview... "The Challenge"
The American conference has won the previous two Allstar  series, the Candian Conference is hungry for a win. The pressure will be on Dean Belanger to come through, however it is important to note that league realignment has put up a signifigant hurdle to an American conference 3-peat. Both Jagr and Kariya plus Hasek and Belfor are in the Canadian conference this year... Man if that don't make Steve Campbell squirm I don't know what will!

We invite all GM's to be online if you want to encourage/advise your GM and or shit on them as need be to get the win!

BTW way the Commish wishes to give his advice now since he will have to remain neutral during the series.

For Steve Campbell, Since my team is in the American conference this year you better produce a win or else... ??  ;-) Naturally I have to say that, since I couldn't get a series win in two chances!
For Dean Belanger, I have this advice, Listen carefully to the Humpers GM (Jon) if he comes on line, he has an Alien like appraoch to line combo's! But somewhere in his whacky theory's is something special!

May the best team prevail,
Big Al (Commish)

THE STORY!
It was a three peat! The general expectation was that the Candian Conference would take charge this year. But Lindros had a few words to say about that leading all scorers with 13 points while playing third line. The rest of the Story to come on Saturday Sept 18.
