Week 5 Predictions
HK (1-3) vs. DC (2-2)
The Hippies are coming of a emotional high after their fist
victory. The Hippies are taunting the ailing Chuffers by
starting Trent Green at QB. In retaliation DC decided to start
the ex HK player Jake Reed. Looks to be an interesting matchup.
All of the HK running back look to be huge again this week. At
WR the Hippies field 2 great recievers with Rice and Moulds (who
will have a good week), and then Westbrook who DC is praying
will score a 0 when being covered by Neon Sanders. DC on the
othe hand have their own problems. Favre will have a big week on
Monday night, but it will be hard to make up for the outstanding
play of HK's positional guys. Galloway and KJ will have a tough
week after going up against top CB's. The difference will be too
much for DC to make up.
HK 108 over DC 91
GS (2-2) vs. AH (1-3)
Freeman and Kaufman will be the key players in this matchup. Both
will put up big performances to help their respective teams.
Watters will not have the greatest game, but will get into the
end zone and thus score in the 15 pt range. Kramer will prove to
be a great wire pickup as he matches Bledsoe's good day (he is
due!). Look for GS to pull out a win with the performance of
Moss on monday night.
GS 93 over AH 90
DDB (3-1) vs. G (3-1)
All of the DDB risks are panning out. Steve Young will put up
great numbers once again. Anderson and Faulk will post over 10's.
TD is the shit and will once again prove why he was the #1 pick
in the draft. Morton and will be horrid again and Irvin will have
a ok week. Chris Carter should put up great numbers on Monday if
he can play the entire game. DDB is starting to look unstopppable
in the 1st half of the season. Godzilla is taking a huge risk by
starting hammy/back Elway this week. With DDB's strong play I see
no way that G can make up the difference without a QB. Most of
G's position guys will play well, but not nearly enough to beat
the red hot Browns.
DDB 119 over G 94
LR (2-2) vs. FFF (2-2)
GS is not the only team to make front office changes this week.
The Fletch has decided to fly in a new team expert to help with
the player moves. Word on the scene is that this new help is who
made the great pickup of Engram this week. The new front office
has decided to add a new line of communication with the AOL
messenger either late this week or early next week. The new
player and personnel moves hope to bring home a win for FFF. The
big ? is Herman Moore who was carted off the field on Wed after
getting his leg landed on. The bruised fibula leave Moore as
questionalbe for this weekend's contest. Look for Moore to still
play. LR picked up Chandler for the combo this week. It will turn
out to be a decent play, but not the greatest of all time.
Normally after a 3td performance, the starting of Mayes could be
deemed stupid, but with Brook's back and the monday night
shootout, look for Mayes to see the endzone again this week. The
difference this week will be the play of Murrell, Dunn and Brown
for LR, and they just are not going to score enough to bring out
the close game win.
FFF 88 over LR 87
Standing after week 5
DDB 4-1
G 3-2
FFF 3-2
GS 3-2
DC 2-3
HK 2-3
LR 2-3
AH 1-4
Last week the Yakman went 2-2 to bring the season total to 8-4.
Also last week the Yaker correctly predicted that Fred Lane would
get banged up. I guess this week I will have to try to keep my
injury predictions going. This week look for either Terry Allen
or Lamar Smith to go down at RB.
