HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY!

Issue #15

Preface:
I have tried very hard to make everything line up.  I am using
the font Courier New and have not gone over 60 columns on each
line.  PLEASE, EVERYONE tell me if everything is lining up, or if
not, what isn't.  I hoped this works better because I've already
fixed the old issues according to this font.

1. Wrestlers
A. The Veteran (by Joe Jaczewski)

I wanted to honor the war veterans on Memorial Day by creating a
wrestler for them.  After cloning human beings became possible in 2010,
all of the men who served in wars had some DNA taken from there bodies.
In 2108, scientists invented a method to combine more than one DNA sample

and take the bad parts while keeping the good.  This made one man that is

as close to perfect as anyone could be.  He goes by the name "The
Veteran."

Born: April 1, 2108 (I hope you got that joke, there are many more to
come)
Height: 6'7"
Weight: 234
Future ambition: Win the Galaxian Belt.  Rid the world of hatred.
Past accomplishments: Too many to list.
Interests: Long walks on the beach, fireing a machine gun, blonde women.
Turn-offs: War, CPC, War, Johnny Rocket, did I mention War?
Favorite Quotes: "I'll be back!" (Terminator)
"So much for the three sea shells!" (Demolition Man)

Deathjump-A Cage 7 (once
again-no refs?)
Disqualification-1 (he doesn't cheat)
*Re-roll on level three offense if fighting a hero.
**Re-roll if crowd is cheering for opponent and not The Veteran

No one knows what Covert Operations is, but it leaves the opponent
injured for
1 card.  Is it a secret government mission?  Are they testing some new
weapon
on wrestlers?  No one knows except The Veteran, and he refuses to use it
on
heros.

The Veteran has powerful legs so a lot of his moves are "flying" or
jumping
off the top turnbuckle.  He also has great upper body strength so he does

Powerslams and Shoudler Breakers easily.  The three -3 moves on level two

offense and the Stealth Drop are moves like these that he created and
perfected.  Sometimes if his opponent is strong enough they can get out
of
the All American Drop before he can execute it and it hurts him more than
them.
He is working on perfecting this move.

Ever see a guy with -3 on level three defense?  Well, you will if the
crowd is
into the match.  Every once and while, The Veteran can bounce back!  But
if the
opponent is more liked than The Veteran and is getting more cheers, then
he
will have no inspiration to fight back.  Favorite cheer at this time to
get him
going: FREE-DOM! FREE-DOM! FREE-DOM!

2.Promoter Articles
A. Cruiserweight Class by Warren Fitzpatrick
([email protected])

I've always had a problem with Cruiserweights vs. Heavyweights in the
GWF.
I don't know, I guess the old cliché of, "a good big man can beat a good
small man anytime".  In the GWF however, anyone can beat anyone else on
any
given night.  That doesn't hold to realistic wrestling (well, as
realistic
as wrestling can get).  Point in case, last year I watched a match
between
Rey Mysterio Jr. (arguably the best small man) & Kevin Nash (arguably the
best giant of wrestling).  Nash threw Rey around like a ragdoll, but in
the
GWF, Rey would have had a much better showing.  Something s wrong there.
So how do we fix it?
I've developed a little system I use when it comes to weight
class.
Following is that chart:

PW    Weight
+4   150-200
+3   200-250
+2   250-275
+1   275-300
0 300-350
-1    350-400
-2    400-450
-3    450-500
-4    500+

That chart is used to show how much weight a wrestler can lift and do a
move with (such as a body slam).  This will cause problems for most
Cruiserweights to complete their moves.  As for the Cruiser's defense.  I
drop 1 rank for one number on the defensive side.  Example:  hurt – 2 on
level 3 offense is now a down-3.  Those should aleviate the problems
associated with this matchup.  The one exception to the rule I use in my
fed is that I allow Cruiserweights to compete normally in tag matches
without the disadvantages.  I do that so that tag action can be quick and
it simulates the great speedy tag teams of the midsouth.  This is my way
of
doing it, but what about your?

WILL COLBY-PELF’S TEAM WIN
MEGATOURNAMENT?

Magnus Colby returned with his wife, Sonora Pelf, to the GWF this
year, 2101,
just in time for the MegaTournament.  At the press conferences Colby and
Pelf
announced their superstar team which includes, Matador Of M83, Pulsar,
Vengeance, Mayhem, Splatter, Ram, Holocaust, Gladiators, Mercenaries and
the
Liquidators.  Right now Colby-Pelf is leading the MegaTournament
standings
with 55 points while Omega (46 points) and Morpheus (43) have closed the
gap.

At the press conferences everyone thought that with this team
Colby would be
sure to win MegaTournament.  He is leading, but not with Splatter (out on
suspension), Matador Of M83 and Holocaust.  The first MegaTournament
update
was:

Omega: 14
Colby-Pelf: 41
Morpheus: 27

When you compare the two standings you can plainly see that Omega
and
Morpheus, mainly Omega with recent champion Pegasus, has closed the gap.
Why
didn’t Colby-Pelf improve vastly in the numbers?  The single “stars” of
Colby-
Pelf has not been performing.  Ram, Holocaust, Pulsar and Matador Of M83
has
not won a singles match this year.  It has been Colby-Pelf’s tag stars
that
are racking up the victories.  The Gladiators are the Tag Team Champions
and
the Liquidators are the MegaTournament Tag Team Champions.  The
Mercenaries
are top contenders to both belts.

Can Colby-Pelf overcome this singles drought and win
MegaTournament on just
their tag teams, both Omega and Morpheus say no, and most wrestling
insiders
say no.

5. Fight Card of the Promoter

KNIGHTS OF THE SQUARED CIRCLE by Aaron Chiu
([email protected])

Just wanted to let you know what was going on in my fed.  On the first
Saturday of April, 2088, I held my first major pay-per-view/supercard,
Knights of the Squared Circle.  This is what happened.

KNIGHTS OF THE SQUARED CIRCLE (at the "Cupid's Arrowhead" Arena, Amor,
Venus)

In dark matches, The Norse Gods defeated the Titan Express, Billy Jo
Boxer
defeated Ghengis Khan in their first (but far from last) encounter,
Mutant
beat Omega with the TEMPLE GRINDER, and Rashid the Butcher pinned Ravage
with DEADFALL.

In the opening match of the telecast, Commander Sam fell to the up and
coming cruiserweight, Rabies.  Rabies was able to defeat the hardy
American
with relative ease and polished things off with his DEATH VALLEY DRIVER.

Next on the card was a match between the independent Splatter and Death
Knight of the Royal Court.  Splatter is pretty much a fan fave in my fed,
because of his tendency to draw blood (though other wrestlers don't like
working with him), and he did not disappoint the crowd tonight as he
pinned
DK after a Blood Bash.

The Greek Gods do an interview segment about their upcoming
falls-count-anywhere matchup against my self-created tag team of the
Satanic Forces, Preacher and Deathlord (though the concept was made up by
a
fantasy roleplayer).  Proteus was livelier and drunker than ever, while
Actagon was his usual timid self.

On the other hand, the Satanic Forces appear prepared for this matchup as
they claim that this particular death match is their specialty.
Deathlord
gives his signature: "Satan 6:66 says we're gonna put you in the ICU!"
while the demented Preacher gave his "HELL AWAITS!" signoff.

The Greek Gods vs. The Satanic Forces (falls-count-anywhere).  This one
was
all the Satanic Forces as they completely dominated the 'Gods when they
were out of the ring.  The end came when Deathlord delivered his SOUL
TAKER
clothesline on Proteus from atop of the ramp, while Preacher hit his
CELTIC
CROSS on Actagon, driving him into a steel chair before taking the duke.

The AniMen of Andromeda give their prematch interview.  They claim that
they've traveled afar because they've heard about Beast-Rider's alleged
abusive treatment of his animals back in his Neptunian zoo.  They also
claim they've got a little surprise for him, coming into this match.

The AniMen vs. The Spacecroppers (Beast-Rider/Renegade/Vanity).  Before
the
match, the AniMen introduced Beast-Rider's prize zoo exhibit, the
Creeper.
They claim they've freed the Creeper after rescuing him from the
Beast-Rider.  During the match, the Spacecroppers where able to hold
their
own, despite falling into trouble early on.  However, when Renegade was
able to snap on his SPINECRACKER, Creeper was able to throw powder into
his
eyes, allowing for the Incredible Badger to set up the ANDROMEDA DROP to
take the win.

After the match, we are shown an interview backstage with the Gladiators
of
Aethra.  All three are barely able to hold themselves still, as they mock
the whole AniMen-Spacecroppers feud.  Spike dares his opponent, Wolf to
sink down and join these "animal wimps."  Wolf then rips threw the set
and
foolishly attacks all three gladiators.  The backstage crew restrain him.

Hmm, I think the Gladiators are feeding the AniMen the reports about the
Neptunian zoo conditions.

The next match pits Lord Nexus against the mysterious Oriental Assassin.
The 'Assassin, former member of the disbanded Society of Death, was the
one
who was responsible for driving Nexus' arch-rival, Invincible Krakan, out
of the fed.  He claims he's going to do the same with LN.  In this match,
he backs up his words, as he pins the Flying Titan with the ASSASSINATOR.

We are immediately taken to the announcer's booth, where they summarize
the
feud between Thantos and the Executioner.  The Executioner left Thantos'
camp because he felt that with the presence of King, Queen, and Knight,
the
Evil GAMEmaster was trying to turn his affairs into a chess game with the
Executioner as a pawn.  For the record, Executioner is not the first of
Thantos' croonies to leave the camp.  The currently inactive Comrade
Terror
also left when Thantos refused him a title shot (he was the number one
contender for several weeks running at that particular time.)  Also
interesting to note is that both men have only submitted three canidates
for their lumberjack match, and can bring in a fourth at any time.

Thantos vs. Executioner (Hydra lumberjacks match).  Executioner brings
down
the UCWA baby faces, Massif, Commander Sam, and Omega (conspicuous by his
absence is Massif's foe, Star Warrior).  Thantos brings down Exo-King,
Killer Queen, and Death Knight.  Executioner then announces Comrade
Terror
as his fourth lumberjack.  Terror had been absent for the last few weeks.

Though Thantos was greatly surprised, he introduced his fourth lumberjack
as a man named Bishop Hell.  As the match started, Thantos dominated his
former charge from the outset.  While both men avoided the lumberjacks,
the
lumberjacks themselves got into a bitter argument.  Star Warrior then
came
down and complained about how his father, Omega, could stand side by side
with his opponent, the UCWA champ Massif.  As there was bitter argument
on
the side of the faces, Executioner had Thantos pinned with the HEADSMAN
GUILLOTINE.  The ref with his back turned in trying to solve the turmoil
between Star Warrior and Massif, did not see Bishop Hell then mount the
apron and deliver HELLFIRE to the face of Executioner.  Thantos took the
easy win after the heinous act.

Wolf vs. Spike (torture chamber match).  Surprisingly, Spike seemed to be
more ready for this match as he pulled all the stops to defeat his
opponent.  After claiming the first two falls with some grueling
competition, Spike easily finished off his opponent by climbing up to the
top of the bars and landing the Atomic Spike to the skull of Wolf to take
the win, putting a cap on to this long feud.  A wimpering Wolf refused
medical attention as he crawled back to the lockeroom with a standing
ovation from the crowd.  The predicted healing time is four cards.

In the first of three title defense matches, the cocky and troublesome
Gladiators saw their long UCWA tag title reign come to an end as they
were
defeated by Exo-King and Killer Queen.  After dominating virtually every
tag team the UCWA had to offer, Brute found himself a recipient of
Exo-King's DEATH VISE, which softened his back up for the CHECKMATE of
Killer Queen.  New tag team champions as the dominant gladiators were
dethroned by a team with "royal blood."

The Interplanetary champion, Sylver, then defended his belt against the
mysterious Mesmer, a strongly hated wrestler in the UCWA.  This was a
return match as the two had traded the belt a couple times leading up to
this pay-per-view.  In the end, Sylver fought all the mind games
instilled
by Mesmer, as he retained his belt with the SYLVER SPLATTER.

In the main event, the UCWA champion Massif faced off against the
hardened,
and suddenly unpopular Star Warrior.  Star Warrior had let it known that
he
did not approve of anyone as the UCWA champion other than himself.
Massif
wouldn't buy into the idea, but offered a handshake.  From the onset,
Star
Warrior broke several rules and was heavily booed, but the rule-breaking
paid off as he managed to pin Massif with the NOVA LAUNCH.  After the
match, Star Warrior offered Massif a handshake for a well-fought contest.

Almost unbelievably, Massif accepted, as the fans seemed to almost
completely forget about Star Warrior's arrogance just a minute before!
(More on the angle of Star Warrior's cockiness in the future, this event
only showed us a glimpse of his ego!)

7. New Matches/Charts!
A. CHAIR MATCH by Dan Cleary (check out the addresses section!)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is a chair match brought to the GWF in 2101 by 1/2 of the
Liquidators
(See later in file), “Punk” Matt Brewster.  This is his specialty match.
Everytime a wrestler rolls 1 on offense or a 4 on defense (except for
PINs)
the chart is rolled on.
“YOU” is the wrestler on defense
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
CHAIR MATCH:
2-3: The opponent nails you with the chair.  The opponent rolls on Level
3
Offense, or again on this chart.

4-5: The opponent props the chair up on the turnbuckle and rams your head
into
the chair.  Add one to your PIN and offensive wrestler rolls again on
this
chart.

6: The opponent  places the chair down on the mat and uses one of his
best
moves with you landing on the chair. You roll PIN

7: The opponent picks up the chair, but you knocks it to the outside.  A
fight
begins.  Roll 1 die
EVEN ROLL: You deck the opponent and go to get the chair.  You
climb back in
the ring, but are nailed by a back clothesline.  The opponent then sets
the
chair up and gives you a DDT.  Roll your PIN
ODD ROLL:  You gut kick your opponent and then power bomb him.
You get the
chair and give your opponent a DDT.  Opponent rolls PIN

8-9:  You grab the chair while the opponent is showboating and nail him
across
the back.  Roll on Level 3 Offense or again on this chart

10-11: You hide the chair behind your back and then shove it into the
opponent’s chest.  You vice the head of your opponent between the chair.
Add
one to opponents PIN and roll again on this chart

12:  The opponent gets in an argument with the Ref and you grab the
chair.
When the opponent turns back to you, the chair smashes against his face.
You
set up the chair and then performs one of your super moves onto the
chair.
Opponent Rolls PIN

9. Closing Comments

Dan Cleary is the only who responded and said that they were
going to Galacticon.  This is pretty upsetting.  Let's try this one more
time.  If I get enough people saying that they're going, I will send Tom
a letter telling him about.  Please hurry, the clock's ticking.
I just want to take the time thank Dan Cleary especially for
submitting so many things.  He could have literally made up Issue 15 by
himself!  I have saved a couple things and they will be in Issue 16
without a doubt.

Sincerely,

Joe Jaczewski
