Pain-- is a simple but effective dropkick to the knee.
Skullsmasher---- This move is a devestating top rope DDT. As they are
falling
Darkstorm starts to twist in mid air, causing an even more deadly impact
than
normal. If this move is hit roll 1d6,on a 1 opponent is injured for 3
cards.

Darkstorm is from Earth. He is a mysterious masked wrestler that has a
bad
attitude. No one really knows his background and he stormed into the GWF
out
of no where. No one knows where Darkstorm got his training. His first
match
was against Massif and pinned him in less than two minutes. He went on to
pin
Darkos, Omega, Pegasus, and Thantos. With these wins he earned a shot
against
the IP title holder at the time Star Warrior. After a few back stage
skirmishes they met and he destroyed Star Warrior and injured him
severely. He
has yet to be pinned. He has lost by DQ to Galactic Punisher twice and
both
matches have been blood baths. This fued seems to heat up each time they
meet.
He has vowed to destroy the Punisher and force him out of wrestling.

2.Promoter Articles
A. Letter to the Editor by Joachim "Yoki" Erdtman
([email protected])

    Dear Joe,

In regards to your e-mail asking for feedback, I would like to say
that
I always read the NG. As you might remember I did not use to have e-mail
at
home which made it impossible for me to contribute to the NG. I do now
have
a computer at home, but do unfortunately not play the game any longer.

I still read the NG and find it a good read, but I ended my GWF
campaign
in early 2098, which means I have no idea who half of the new guys are. I
wanted to buy the new sets, but there are now too many of them, with all
the
Classic edition, etc.

I also do not have anyone to play the game with. Being both the
commissioner and the guy who has to play ALL the matches, then document
all
the results, is just too time consuming. Back in Sweden I played the game
constantly with at least 2-3 friends at all times.

I am a first degree gamer geek, I even work in the gaming industry
(in
charge of international sales for Chessex East, part of the worlds
largest
gaming distributor chain). When it comes to the games I love, COTG being
one
of them (although I always refer to it as the GWF), I want to own all the
supplements available. This has started to become impossible when it
comes
to COTG.

We were always playing catch-up in Sweden, since we got into the game
at
about the time of the Sudden Death series. We still wanted to play
through
every set and not skip out on any of the many great feuds and story
lines.
When Tom decided to start releasing two main sets a year plus Classics
and
other special editions, it all became pointless.

We couldn't even participate in any of the many cool ballotings or
submit our rankings to the GWF Promoter since we were always at least
four
or so game editions behind. This started to get sort of frustrating as
when
the GWF Promoter arrived I just skimmed through the news and then put it
aside to be read at the proper time, when we caught up to it.

I guess that a newsletter is just that -- a NEWSletter, but I would
love
to see some more generic stuff in it, and not just reasons to buy the new
game editions. Tom lost a charter subscriber this way. I am sure that I
would have enjoyed the Promoter more had I been keeping up with the
timeline
of the GWF, but as I explained above it became increasingly difficult for
me
to do so.

I enjoy playing all kind of games and to devote my time to only
playing
one game, no matter how great, will just never happen. I wish that I
could
still play and enjoy the GWF, but by now it would even be financially
insane
to buy all the stuff that I have missed. If anyone had a computer version
of
the game where the computer could play the matches for me, I would get
back
into the game in a heartbeat (I still miss my Gladiators).

Setting up cards, ranking the wrestlers, coming up with cool new
matches, keeping track of win/loss records and title history is the most
enjoying parts of the game to me. Of course, there is almost nothing
better
than having Brute and Massacre the original Gladiators and (in my GWF)
the
best tag team ever defend their belts against an old foe.

If I could only program software myself I would devout my time to
coming
up with a workable GWF computer game. Then I could myself concentrate on
the
fun stuff of setting up supercards, etc. and let the computer worry about
rolling a few thousand dice each night.

If it would be of interest I could try and scrounge up the last
ranking
report that I have and mail it to you? It is two pages detailing the top
ten
contenders to each of my six sanctioned titles. I just have to check if I
have it available in a good e-mailable format. You do have MS Word right?

Well, enough of my ranting. I hope that some feedback is better than
no
feedback, otherwise you must be pretty fed-up with reading this by now.

3. Fight Card of the Promoter
Ty States ([email protected])
The final installment of the joint effort between the GWF and CPC in
their "mega-tournament" series was the King of the Ring Tournament, held
on the GWF's 770th overall card at the Lava Ruins Arena, Betelgeuse,
Orion.  More history was made in this one tournament than in the last
five years of GWF action.
Tournament stipulations:  A 64-man single elimination format, with the
first round pairings being
randomly determined.
All GWF and CPC singles titles were defended in every match the champion
had throughout the tournament; the only exception being a Cruiserweight
title holder did not defend against someone outside of their weight
class.

Results:  Round 1
Splatter d. Cycle Hog
Enigma advanced by D.Q. against Slaughterhouse
Colossus d. Cannibal
Archon upset Paragon
Vendetta downed Janus
Kati d. Brainstorm
Pegasus pinned Painmaster
Draconian Sheik destroyed Dark Justice
Skinhead won by D.Q. over Wolf
Ursa Major surprised Raven
Vyper beat his partner the Creeper
Scion Nexus over Wraith
Rising Sun beat Heracles to win the I-P title and the TV title.
Chaso retained the GWF belt against Mayhem.
Terminus kept the CPC I-S title against fellow member Prodigy.
Buck Steele won by D.Q. over Vengeance
Pulsar over Mace by D.Q.
Dreggs d. Dagger Mack
Halcon Oro sped past Alpha Force
Sleeze beat Hammer
Thunder downed his partner Malice
Homicide d. Killer Queen
Blacklash over Holocaust
Matador defended the CPC Title against Dynamo
Manslaughter d. Mutant
Mandrill d. Bishop Hell
Nefarus beat Blizzard
Mad Jester d. Tragedy
Blazing Skull over Jack of Diamonds
Max Shield d. Lycosa
Wildcat beat Karah by C.O.
U.S. Patriot d. Talisman

Round 2
Splatter advanced by D.Q. over Enigma
Colossus d. Archon
Vendetta d. Kati
Draconian Sheik won by D.Q. against Pegasus
Skinhead d. Ursa Major
Vyper beat Scion Nexus by C.O.

Chaos kept the GWF Title and won the I-P and TV titles from Rising Sun.
The first time in GWF history that all three major singles titles were
simultaneously held by one man.

Buck Steele won the CPC I-S Title from Terminus.
Pulsar d. Dreggs
Halcon Oro d. Sleeze
Homicide beat Thunder
Blacklash defeated Matador to win the CPC Title.
Mandrill d. Manslaughter
Nefarus d. Mad Jester
Blazing Skull d. Max Shield
U.S. Patriot d. Wildcat

Round 3 (Sweet 16)
Colossus put away Splatter
Draconian Sheik overcame Vendetta
Skinhead d. Vyper
Chaos beat Buck Steele by D.Q. (each man retained all their titles)
Halcon Oro upset Pulsar
Blacklash retained the CPC Title against Homicide by D.Q.
Mandrill beat his underling Nefarus
U.S. Patriot advanced over Blazing Skull

Quarterfinals
Colossus over Draconian Sheik
Chaos held onto the GWF, I-P and TV Titles against Skinhead.
Blacklash retained the GWF and CPC Cruiserweight titles over Halcon Oro.
Mandrill d. U.S. Patriot

Semifinals
Chaos demonstrated his dominance by overwhelming Colossus, even without
the Alpha Stone, and retained the GWF, I-P and TV titles.

Mandrill took the CPC strap away from Blacklash.

Finals
Chaos pounded down Mandrill and easily won the KOTR for the second year
in-a-row, and added the CPC Title to his GWF, I-P and TV gold.

The aftermath of this tournament is staggering. One week after winning
his fifth GWF Championship against Wraith at Clash of the Champions XIV,
Chaos wins the KOTR for the second straight year and adds the I-P title
for the fifth time, and TV and CPC Titles to his collection.

Chaos will be forced to relinquish the I-P and TV titles. Vendetta by
reaching the finals will be named the new Interplanetary champion.  In
the essence of fairness, the other two semifinalists Colossus and
Blacklash will have a match for the vacant TV title.

Four wrestlers hold multiple championships. Here are the current title
holders:
GWF Champ: Chaos
I-P: Vendetta
TV: vacant (Colossus or Blacklash)
GWF Cruiserweight: Blacklash
GWF Cage: Buck Steele
GWF Tag: X-Termination
I-P Tag: Ninja Assassins
Six-Man: Kati, Homicide, Dagger Mack
GWF Woman's: Dementia

CPC Champ: Chaos
I-S: Buck Steele
Cruiserweight: Blacklash
CPC Cage: Buck Steele
CPC Tag: X-Termination
CPC Woman's: Velar

Celestial Federation of Wrestling proudly presents...

CFW GALACTIC LOTTERY

CFW Tag Team Champions The Gladiators/ Alpha Forcer & Colossus

Entered in the 20-team battle royale for the shot at the tag team titles,
many
didn't think Colossus and Alpha Force, teamed together for the second
time, to
win. No heat has been generated between the dominate Gladiators or
Colossus/Alpha Force, but the intensity with which these four men fight
should
prove to be a most interesting matchup.

stats: tag titles- gladiators- 2, alpha force- 1, colossus 0
alpha force- with star warrior, longest reigning champions of all time
gladiators- defeated star warrior and alpha force for their first reign
as
champions

Pulsar/Chaos

This one goes back 3 months ago, when, after Pulsar defeated Chaos'
protege
Shadow, Chaos attacked and injured Pulsar. Ever since then, war has
erupted
between Pulsar, his tag partner Quasar (Titan Heat), and the Triumirate-
Chaos, Shadow, The New Pillars of Power (Dynamo, Heracles). At the
upcoming
CFW PPV, Galactic Lottery: Do or Die, Pulsar meets Chaos one-on-one, in a
special cage match. Originally slated to be a Torture Chamber Match, CFW
officials decided to create a new, more deadly match, to be held inside a
modified cage. Certain stipulations to be added soon.

stats- chaos- 3 CFW titles, pulsar- 1 cruiserweight title

Hecate/Heracles

The mysterious Hecate, in his one match, annihilated the competition.
Nothing
is known about him, except that he is EXTREMELY powerful. He has made a
fool
out of Chaos TWICE in his month in the CFW, so expect possible
interference
from the CFW's big man and the Triumvirate. Heracles, Triumvirate member,
is
expected by Chaos to take out Hecate. How will Hecate fare against one of
the
CFW's finest?

Shadow/Jack of Diamonds

1 month ago, Shadow injured Jack of Diamonds after a very quick win. his
put
him out for 4 fight cards, and has effected him ever since. Shadow, once
thought unbeatable, has lost 2 of his last 3, not to mention his CFW
Cruiserweight Title. Jack of Diamonds, former CFW Cruiserweight and CFW
Television Champion, has been on a downslide ever since he lost the
Television
title to Mace over 3 months ago. Jack Diamonds...Shadow... Titan Death
Match.
One man stands victorious, while the other drops down into the rankings
gutter.

stats- shadow 1 cruiserweight title, Jack of Diamonds 1 cruiserweight
title, 1
television title.
jack of diamonds- spent half of last year injured...fought to television
title
when injured...still feeling leg pain

CFW Champion Pegasus/CFW Interplanetary Champion King Nefarus

Since he was the winner of the King of the Galaxy tournament, Nefarus
earned
the right to a shot at the CFW Champion. After winning the tournament,
Nefarus
went on to defeat CFW Interplanetary Champion Max Shield to win that
title.
Though an underdog, one can never count out Nefarus. Pegasus has defended
his
CFW Title successfully twice already...though Nefarus seems less a task
than
Chaos, he knows that Nefarus is a talented wrestler, not to be taken
lightly.

stats- pegasus 3 CFW titles, nefarus 3 television titles, 1
interplanetary
title

CFW GALACTIC LOTTERY

With teams like Vengeance/Matador of M83, Terminus/Raven, and
Wolf/Manslaughter, ANYTHING could happen! Vengeance and the Matador have
to be
the favorites, but many teams could challenge. Terminus and Raven are
extremely bitter enemies and fought at the last PPV! X-Treme and Mace are
in
the middle of a heated feud! What will happen? Who will win? In 1 week,
we'll
all find out!

stats- last year's winners- Lord Nexus and Vengeance...year before-
Vengeance
and Colossus

also- CFW Cruiserweight Champion Painmaster/Ravage
CFW Television Champion Buck Steele/Mandrill
Blazing Skull, Dark Angel, Lower World/Archon, Centaurians, ???
Dynamo/U.S. Patriot

JUST SIGNED-
fatal four way- The New Order/The Mercenaries/Rebel Empire/Titan Heat
NOTE: Pulsar (Titan Heat) and Nefarus (Rebel Empire) both have huge

6. Rankings by Stephen Brydson ([email protected])

I just restarted my federation after reaching 2102, and am now palying at

5. New Matches!
A. Submitted by Chris Nelson ([email protected])

Here is a match made by my good friend Jamie B. Wilson. He is not
on the internet so I'm going to put it on here for him, and please give
him all the credit for this match.

Exploding Ring Death Match

This matchcomes from the Japanese federation FMW. In this match the ring
ropes are replaced by barbed-wire. Also, there is extra barbed-wire
wrapped around that which is rigged with small bombs that explode on
impact. this match is so dangerous, it is held outside of the arena. Use
Titan Death Match Rules. Whenever "into the ropes", "into the turnbuckle"
or "out of the ring" is rolled, roll on the following chart.  After the
match both wrestlers are injured. Roll 1 die for each wrestler to see how
long. A wrestler can win by pinfall or submission. "You" refers to the
wrestler on offense.

2-3 You try to whip the opponent into the barbed-wire, but the
opponent stops himself. Roll on Level 1 Offense.

4-5 You go for a cross body block, but the opponent ducks and you
fly into the barbed-wire and your chest gets a blast from the bombs.
Opponent rolls on Level 2 Offense.

6-7 You slingshot you opponent into the exploding barbed-wire!
The opponent gets the full impact from the blast! The opponent falls to
the mat in great pain as he has many small burns on his chest!  Roll on
Level 2 Offense.

8-9 You go for a running tackle, but the opponent sidesteps you
and you run face first into the bombs and get blasted right in the face!
You grab your face in pain as blood and smoke emerges through your hands!
Add 2 to your injury and the opponent rolls on Level 2 Offense.

10-11 You whip the opponent into the barbed-wire and he gets
blastedon the arm and chest! The opponent is hurt badly and he staggers
into another set of explosives and gets blown up from behind! The
opponent is burned on his arm, chest and back and on Level 3 Offense.

12 You somehow climb to the top rope and go for a flying
bodypress. You connect, but the opponent catches you. The momentum sends
you and the opponent toppling into the barbed-wire! You and the opponent
get caught in a firey blast! You and theopponent are badly hurt. The ref
has no choice but to stop the match. No Contest! A Rematch must be
signed.

Great Issue!  Thanks for all your responses.  I'll see how many
match results I get from my web site and decide from there if it is worth
making another contest.
I'll be going on vacation so don't worry if I don't respond to your
letters.  I will get back to everyone when I get back.  Have a great rest
of vacation!

Sincerely,
