SCMAF Qualifier in Garden Grove, CA on 10/23/1999. This was just a tune up for Palm Springs. We started off really slow and sluggish. However, we did finish with a flourish that fell short. The point of this tournament was just to play together a bit and get the bats warmed up. Only one player was consistent throughout this tournament. The "Big Man" on this day was Jeff Lashmett! Others who were noticed for less than spectacular play were Robert Anderson, Steve Davis, and Mike Marin. For reasons unknown, 2B Robert Anderson, seemed to think the first baseman was in the visiting dugout. That's where he threw it. Participants in the tournament know what Davis and Marin did so I will not degrade them anymore than they have been! Wish us luck in Palm Springs! Win or lose, we booze!
