Well I must say this game was AWESOME!!! It was another "spur of the moment games" once again. It took about an hour to get to Avon from where we live . . . but it was worth it. We got there and it was in this school's hockey rink, not a whole lot of people there yet, but most of them that were were all 'Pack fans! I was impressed! Jen and I roamed around a little bit looking for the best spot to sit down. The fans started to pour in, so Jen and I had her dad save us a spot right in front of the glass, we were PSYCHED!! First hockey game since MAY! So as you can imagine we were PUMPED! Almost everyone there was a Wolf Pack fan. When the Beast came out onto the ice, people booed them! Then the Wolf Pack came out and everyone cheered, it cracked Jen and me up. The game started with Whitmore in goal. A lot of the guys playing were new guys, then I noticed that Chris Winnes' number was 69 and almost passed out laughing! GO CHRIS YOU RULE DUDE! The first period was GREAT! Jen and I were constantly yelling out things like "COME ON PACK!! IT'S THE BEAST FOR CHRIST'S SAKE! CREAM EM!" The Jen, her dad and I all in synch went "ooh pretty boys! So soft so smooth!" it sounded cheesey I know.... but it was funny! Then at one point Jen and I yelled out "ARMSTRONG RULES!!!" really really loud, and he heard us (hell who DIDN'T?) and looked at us. We kept saying that when he would come out on the ice, and he would keep looking at us. Lee Sorochan also posed for my camera, hehehehe. Well, by period 2 we were tied 1-1 (I believe) and E.J. pulled Whitmore and put in Heil (good move E.J., should give both goalies a chance to practise.) and then we started scoring more goals, including an empty netter by ARMSTRONG! IT WAS AWESOME! The Beast pulled their goalie in the third and Derek shot that puck and it slid right into the net! GO DEREK! Lee got two assists as well.... SOROCHAN ROCKS! Don't let anyone fool you, he's an awesome defense. He plays his position and keeps the puck away from the net and in the opposing zone! Overall it was an awesome game. Hearing the "LET'S GO WOLF PACK!!!!" chant again was very enjoyable! Especially when everyone did it! I tell ya there's nothing like pack fans! The best part came at the end of the game. Jen and I hopped up and hung over the glass (it wasn't very tall) and We yell out "DEREK! YOU RULE MAN WE LOVE YOU! CAN WE HAVE YOUR STICK DUDE??" and he skated over to Jen and tossed the game used puck up to her. Go Jen! :)
