In 15.Sep.1995, the preliminary start of first Brazilian Defence Friendly Thematic Tournament (1 BDTT), organized and conducted by our friend Rubens Cardoso do Esp�rito Santo. The preliminary tournament was arranged in 16 groups with 4 plays each; every one played two games against his adversary.

In 01.Sep.1996, the 2nd Brazilian Defence Friendly Thematic Tournament's (2 BDTT) preliminary round started. This round was arranged in 38 groups, with 4 players in each group. Each player of each group will play 2 games against each of their groupmate. The preliminary round will finish in 01.Mar.1999. The group winners and the best second place holders from the preliminary will participate in the next round.

In 01.Ago.1998, semi-final will start officially in 1 BDTT with 4 groups with, 9 players in each group.
