Welcome one and all to The Best, The Baddest, The Smoothest, The Silkest, The Most Awesome Force In The House! It's a little ancient at the moment but keep checking back to see what may have been added or updated since your last visit. Have a nice day, feel free to find out about the person who's page now graces your computer screen. Why don't we do it in the road???
As you've probably already gathered, my name is Jason Puckett. I'm a native of Louisville, Kentucky (southwest Jefferson County to be exact) and graduated from The University of Louisville. After a 5 1/2 year foray into the world of post-secondary education, I somehow managed to earn a bachelors degree in political science in December, 1997. Soon after, I began my wonderful life as a sports journalist for the Louisville SportsReport, a fan newspaper covering U of L athletics. The lone exception to my tenure at the SportsReport was a three-month stint at the New Albany Tribune in 1999. Despite making the Mayberry newspaper seem like the New York Times in comparison, I did meet a couple of my closest friends there, so it wasn't all bad (G's up, black stretch pants down).
I suppose the one thing I'm known for the most from my time at U of L was my participation in the Cardinal athletic bands program. Thanks to that experience, and the people I got to know, I was able pick up the gig as PA announcer for U of L Baseball (special thanks to Al Greener, coach Lelo Prado, and Sean Moth) and U of L softball. Next time you're in the stands for either, that's my voice booming down from the rusting rafters of old Cardinal Stadium and from the outfield of beautiful Ulmer Stadium. Don't delay! Make those plans for Omaha and Oklahoma City now!
