Jean-Pierre Papin Away
Jean-Pierre Papin was the French Redemption Figure available in 1997. There were only 2,500 � 3,000 produced. This is one of the rarest figures ever. On the collector file you received with French releases was 1 token, you had to collect 12 of these tokens to receive your away kit figure though on the collector file was a picture of a Youri Djorkaeff in the white away kit. The picture isn�t a photo of an actual figure though, more like an artist�s impression of what one would look like, my guess is they were planning to do Djorkaeff then changed to Papin. You could also send away for a 12 Player Stand but for this you had to send 20 tokens. This figure has become very rare as they�re is simply not enough to go around Corinthian Collectors. The figure has a CRV of 18800, which is very very high for an open (loose) figure.
The figure is worth around �50 and can cost even more if its still in the original French Sachet. I have one of these for sale at the time of writing this piece, if you E-Mail me I may have one for sale if you want to own one of the rarest Corinthian Figures ever get in touch.
