Coca - Cola Figures
These figures were given away by Coca-Cola in Latin America as redemption for bottle tops. Some became available for sale but some weren�t because the players wouldn�t allow it.
The teams involved were Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay. You can see a full list of the players as we go on.
I have also heard of Mexican Coca-Cola players but have never seen any. I have heard production was stopped as a company in the USA had soul rights to make them. Also there is a possibility of some Chile Coca-Cola figures?
The finest piece of the collection is "The Golden Trio" a 3-player stand of Dunga and Romario with Coca-Cola balls and Ronaldo (old model) with Golden ball in centre I�m sure you will have seen this on my Home Page. When you see the old model of Ronaldo you will understand why he didn�t want any to become available!
The packaging the Coca-Cola figures come in is not see through so very few remain in packaging, as you wouldn�t know what player was in it although I do have a trio in the original packaging.
These figures cost between �15 - �25 each in today�s market, as they are very rare. Having a full collection including the Golden Trio of these figures would be worth close to �1,000.
