Life Cycle of a Frog
Written and Illustrated by
Alexander
The frog's life cycle begins when the frog puts eggs in fresh water. When a frog lays it's eggs the tadpoles eat egg yolk. They are in a bubble like egg. The froth protects them. The tadpoles are microscopic.
Soon the tadpoles hatch from the eggs. They still eat egg yolk. In their tail they have a supporting rod to balance. When they breathe they use a spiracle which is on the left side of their body. They usually would swim in groups. They are still tiny starting from egg to tadpole.
Finally, the tadpole begins to turn into a froglet. First a tadpole will grow its back legs that will help him jump. Later he will grow his front legs. Then in a matter of weeks he will eat water-weed.
Finally, it is an adult frog. Now it lost its tail. When it catches a type of insect it will stick to their tongue. Then the lifecycle will begin again.
