Francois obtained a Bachelor�s degree in Physical Education (Fitness) from McGill University in 1985. This will be his 16th season as the Head Coach of McGill�s Swim Team. His past experience includes being an assistant-coach at the World Student Games in Sheffield, England in 1991 and in Buffalo, U.S. in 1993. He was the manager of the National Altitude Team Camp in Font Romeu, France in 1990, and in Los Alamos, New Mexico in 1991. He has also coached medallists at the Commonwealth, Pan Pacific�s and World Student Games. He was named FQSE Coach of the Year in 1989 and 1999. As Head Coach of McGill�s team, Francois manages, administers and established policy for all aspects of the program. His primary responsibility, however, is the coaching of the swim team in workouts and competition, to the extent necessary for its maximum potential development. His other duties in the Department of Athletics involve being pool coordinator during the university season, and the administration process of the Academic All-Canadian and Principal�s Honor roll certifications. |
