Glenn Serious About Preventing Future Injuries.

Terry Glenn has kept his promise by being committed to his workouts and conditioning.
This offseason, WR Terry Glenn (#88) promised that he would be totally committed to his workouts and conditioning and he kept it. Last year, Glenn spent most of his time on the bench nursing several injuries...some at the same time. The injuries were said to be caused by inproper conditioning and poor workouts. He figured he didn't need to spend the extra time getting physically fit during the offseason last year because he was already in great shape and had a great recieving year in 1996. He proved himself wrong after a string of injuries ranging from a pulled hamstring to a broken collarbone. With the absence if Glenn, the Patriots were unable to throw downfield as well as they could if he was in the lineup. The Pats felt the loss throughout the year. Adding on to the absence of Glenn, the Patriots were also without star RB Curtis Martin (now with the Jets) for most of the year, and Dave Meggett and Ben Coates for the playoff loss against Pittsburgh. DL Willie McGinest was also absent for the first 2 games of the season, with a severely pulled hamstring.
