Patriots Re-sign LB Marty Moore.
FOXBORO, Mass., - The New England Patriots announced the re-signing of unrestricted free agent linebacker Marty Moore.

2752.jpg (2426 bytes)Moore, 27, played in all 16 regular season games, as well as both playoff games for the Patriots last season as a reserve linebacker and special teams stalwart. He finished second on the team with 16 special teams tackles and also accumulated eight tackles (6 solo) and two interceptions.

The 6-foot-1-inch, 244-pound linebacker was originally drafted by the Patriots with the final selection (222nd overall) of the 1994 NFL draft. Moore is the only "Mr. Irrelevant" player (last player picked in the draft) to play a starting position in his NFL debut.

He has not missed a game during his career, playing in all 64 games, starting six. He has also played in six playoff games with one start. Moore has accumulated 51 tackles (39 solo), two interceptions, four passes defensed, two forced fumbles and 62 special teams tackles.
