Below is the accommodations list for the 1998 World Championship participants in San Jose. This list was compiled from several sources. Those with ## are specially priced and/or are recommended for our tournament. Current prices are listed and tax is not included. Be sure to confirm prices and other information when you call. Some facilities may even quote you a better price if you have a large group. Most hotels fill up quickly since conferences and other functions are occuring in San Jose at the same time, so make reservations soon. Also, please inform us of your choice of accommodation as soon as possible so that we may adjust the number of rooms held at various hotels to meet the tournamentís needs.
Also enclosed is a brochure which lists many of these accommodations, and contains a few other details of San Jose, including a few maps. Here are a few notes about the brochure: 1.I do not recommend Capitol Hill Inn- it is run down and ugly. 2.All entries under Beach and Mountain Lodging (and some under Nearby Lodging) are a long drive away and might be useful for trips after the tournament, but are not recommended during the tournament. 3.Under Alternative and Corp. Accom., Bella Vista Apts only takes 6-12 month leases, Mother Olsenís doesnít take reservations, and Oakwood is expensive and has a 31 day minimum.
