Hi all ^_^

My first KiSS set of a non-cartoon character! (Okay, so I used a
cartoon base, but still... ^_~)

This is a KiSS set of my favourite ice skater, Alexei Urmanov. ^_^
I've always wanted to make a doll of him... And although I might not
be able to do him justice, I think I now have the ability to at least
do a decent job of it. ^_~ You'll probably recognize the doll base
from my last KiSS set (it's from the Japanese cartoon, Ranma 1/2).

Alexei, as aforementioned, is a world-class figure skater. His
most notable achievement is winning the gold medal at the '94
Olympics; he was also the first person to land a quad jump at the
European championships in '91. He missed the '97-'98 season due to
an injury at the '97 World championships, which caused him to pull
out of the competition (he was first after short program, too >_<).
He turned pro in '99, winning the World Pro championships for that
year. Alexei doesn't skate competetively very much at the moment,
concentrating more on coaching and shows; he currently lives in St.
Petersburg, Russia, with his wife and twin sons. ^_^ Here are his
stats, if you're curious:

Alexei Urmanov
Date of Birth: November 17, 1973
Nationality: Russian
Height: 5'11"
Weight: 155 lbs.
Hair Colour: Dark brown
Eye Colour: Blue

I've always admired Alexei for his grace on the ice, ever since the
'94 Olympics... (The fact that he's easy on the eyes probably doesn't
hurt either. ^_~) And his costumes are so interesting and unique,
that I felt he'd be a great subject for a KiSS doll. ^_^ This set
currently features nearly all his costumes from 1993 to 2001 (I
would've done all of his costumes, except I don't have enough
reference material for some of them, at the moment; that's why this
is a beta version. ^_~)

Below, is a list of what clothing is on each page; the costumes are
grouped by season, and are labelled by the music it was accompanied
by. (BTW, on nearly all the pages, the doll is wearing the primary
long program costume for that season; the one above the long program
music title is the alternate.)

Pages 8 and 9 feature all the costumes (and the doll is wearing
practice outfits on both pages).

As for special effects... As usual, the covers can be opened and
closed by clicking the title, and the clothes will snap to the doll
if the top right button is "On". Music titles with notes on them can
be clicked on for a music sample (these tend to be 1 1/2 to 3 mins.
long, with exception of Phantom of the Opera, which is 5 1/2 mins.
long ^_^;). To turn off the music, click on the musical note that
appears in the top mid-left corner. As for clothing effects:

"Swan Lake" - Press the silver bars on the sides of the shirt to
see feathers appear on it.
"Night on Bald Mountain" - Press the collar of the shirt to toggle
the sequins on and off.
"Phantom of the Opera" - Press the white tips of the wand to see
Alexei perform some magic tricks (he actually did this while skating
this program! ^_^)
"Prince of Egypt" - Press the collar of the cloak to raise the hood
up or down.

I was going to include the stories behind some of the costumes in
this KiSS set, but I think I'll save that for the final version...
(Besides, this set is still missing a couple of accessories for some
costumes, like cloaks and stuff ^_^;) But I thought it was complete
enough to release, for now... Anyways, I hope you enjoy this beta
version! ^_^
