I think Nicklas Lidstrom is truly one of the greatest defensemen to ever play in the N.H.L.He is a great defensemen for a number of reasons.He breaks up and intercepts passes almost before they are made, he is almost impossible to stick handle around on a 1-on-1, and he is like a wall on the blue line- you can't clear the puck past him!But the thing that I like the most is his temper- he hasn't one.He never lets his emotions overcome him and he never retaleates.With a hard, accurate slapshot and the abilit to make an end-to-end rush makes him a worthy opponent to anyone, I don't care if you are Mike Madano!Hopefully he will still be playing in the NHL when I get there.

Nick has left the US for some holiday in Västerås Sweden. For about nine years we been waiting for that day he will return to Rocklundahallen (the hockeyarena in Västerås). I do think it´s about to happen that he will play for Eagles (nickname for Västerås icehockey team). Thank you over there for taking care of our big star and most welcome to visit us in Väaterås Sweden. Sorry if my bad english, hope you´l understand most of it.

Petra------> Du skämmer ut dig själv! Alla i Sverige vet var Lidas kommer att att bo och var Lidas kommer att spela om han och familjen kommer hem till Sverige! Om du Petra inte skulle veta det så är det Västerås/Västerås IK. Lidas själv har sakt att det bara finns ett lag han vill spela för när han kommer hem och det är VIK.Så Petra SORRY. Lindstrom can't retire .He's only 29 .He should play atleast another 5 years .He's only 29 ,and the other 2 finalists for the Norris are 34 and Bourque is 38 going on 39 .So maybe when Lindstrom is Bourque's age if still active maybe he'll be a finalist f r the norris

I think Nicklas should stay in NHL for one more year so that he can help the Wings bring home the trophy in the year 2000. Without him it´s going to be tuff! After that he´s welcome back to Sweden. We really miss you Nicklas, but please don´t go to Västerås! Go to Gävle instead and play for BRYNÄS! SM-GULD!!!

I love the Red Wings and I will be very upset if Lidstrom decides to leave Hockeytown. I understand his decision is in the best interest of his family, but I think he is the best "D" in the entire NHL. I really hope he stays here. Go WIngs! Believe 16SM!

An excellent page, too bad Nick doesn't rate the same level of national attention that his peers do. Living in CA, a transplanted Michigander, I've missed out on much of Lindstrom's debate as to where to play next season. I hope that any future updates o your site would include such info. I'll keep watching...
