I´m SO tired of all that say Niklas Lidström was born i Västerås. HE was born i AVESTA there i Live. Niklas go to a hockeyschool in Västerås and he played for Västerås in the Swedish Hockey Leauge. Avesta have 23.000 citizens so it´s not a big city and my family know "nicky" personly and my sister walked in the same class with Niklas in the school!!

This is a great site...esp for pics...although you're right about that "back to the camera" problem. All of his pics seem to be that way. Anyway, I love Nick and think he is an awesome player. He deserves any accolades he gets. I can only hope he stay here, but I understand his feelings for wanting to go back to Sweden. Whichever way he goes, he will always be my number one...or 5, whichever. :)

I think Nicklas is THE BEST player I've ever seen. I would love to visit a game and see him but that will probably not happen. I grew up in Westland, MI and used to attend quite a few of the Wings games at the Olympia and a few at the Joe but then moved to Idaho. I still follow the Wings whenever they are on ESPN or Fox. Hope they can pull things together and get back on track for a run at the Cup again this year. It would be great if they could three-peat.

Nicklas will go back to our league and I don´t like it at all because my favorite team Djurgården will have nothing say about Västerås then because "Lidas" will play in that team so Nicklas please stay where you are and go home when you are not this good s you are right now and get a Stanley cup trophy before you go home will you...?

Seriously, the RED´s will get a new player! His name is Joakim Lindgren. He is leadin` offensive man with a club called ESC - Muenchen, see page above (it`s all in german). Officials of both clubs met Tuesday to sign up. Have never heard of this guy! Any nfo welcome. Muenchen is not involved with the upper league (DEL), so what? A 3rd quality guy? Oh my god! STAY, Lidström, stay! [email protected] - that`s where the information came from!
