As
I sometimes give you the history of the past, and of the way that we were
raised, I sort of try to connect it with what is going on today. And the
ones out there who read my words often ask me how I feel toward the situations
of today's world. So here is my view of what has happened to our society
, and how I, as one person would correct it.

And to stay with the tv thought, have you wondered why all the great shows are taken off? They will tell you that the public through polls have decided for you and me what shows we watch. How many times have you been asked, what shows are the best? What they do is to say that a group comprised of a selected number of people, representing you and me, were asked their preference and we have to go along with that.
Add to that, is the polls taken by special interest groups, at election time. They will tell you that a certain person running for office, is leading by a wide count as the favorite, in order to get you and me to vote for thier choice. Have you ever noticed that the other one running, will concede early, thus making the late votes useless. I have witnessed the tv stations projecting who is the winner with only half the votes tallied up. They seem to always know how the rest of the nation will vote. That really puzzles me, and I think that it should do the same to you.
And have you noticed what teams in sports are always being telecast , and which ones you never get to see. All done through a selective group of people, who have the resources to tell sponsers, who to sell to the general public. What this old man is trying to say, is that we are tired of the small groups out there, who have the power to tell us what we can watch, what we can believe in, what we can keep on our walls, and who we can pray to, and we are not going to take it anymore.
What we, as a nation under GOD ,should do is to quit fighting amoung ourselves, and to ban together as one, to rid this great nation of those who would take us down, by taking the very things we believe in ,away from us. As for this one old man, I will continue to pray when I want, and where I want ,and I will continue to follow those "Ten Commandments" until the day that The Great Father calls me home.
I hope that when you have finished reading this week's article, you too will want to say that "You are tired of all this and you are not going to take it anymore. And for those who think that maybe I stepped on some very tender toes, well I hope so. And for all those who follow my words each time they show up in this paper, I hope that you thank the Tribune for allowing me to sound off once in a while. I am not a bitter old man and I try to never pass judgement on anyone, but sometimes you need to smell a rose, to find out that it does have thorns. So do you, and you need to use them once in a while, to wake up someone. I am very proud to be an American, and I am very proud to be part of the human race which was designed by the greatest ARTIST of them all. Say thanks at night and when you wake up in the morning to that beautiful sight out there, say thanks again. Never let that loved one leave without saying you love them, and never say goodbye. Just say "See You Later"
And as always I speak straight from the heart and I post all my writings on my web page at http://www.geocities.com/kokomoman/ for all to see. May God Bless each and every one of you.
