Ok, enough of that and now we go to the WCW, where there need to be some changes also. Here is what I would do to bring WCW back to where they were before this terrible angle dropped them in the crap bucket, to use a phrase. I set there saturday night and watched the usual two hours, that I have watched for several months, with one thought. The Disco Inferno needs to get a real shot at showing his skills. I about fell out of my chair, laughing at him. That is what we need.
Last week I told you what I thought would happen when Sting comes back, and this week, I am going to stand out on the front porch with this prediction. I think that within a few weeks we are going to the emergence of Ole Anderson, Dusty Rhodes, and many old wrestlers at WCW to try and get it back in control. They stayed by the wayside long enough, and it is time to start spanking some young butts. Has the last year of WCW just been a soap opera, that could of been put on the network stations? If so then why watch each week? You can miss a week and still catch up with one episode..
Then Flair and Piper teaming up was really funny. All Flair wanted was one more time to be the champ , and he willing to do anything to get it.Watch out Piper, and anyone else, don't turn your back on Flair. He is the dirtiest man in wrestling today, and if my thoughts are right, you will see Flair and Hogan going for the whole thing in a future pay for view. I have watched Pro wrestling for almost 50 years, and I have seen it all.We as fans will see once again the Nature Boy as the champ, and it won't be too much longer. When Flair offered his support to Roddy, he had a ace up his sleeve.
Malenko and Jarrett, can you believe it? How long will Malenko go before he knocks Jarrett off that high perch he is on? And How long will it be before Hennig lowers the boom on Flair.?
But the big question is; how much longer will it be before Sting comes back to the square circle, with his blond short hair, and makes his move to the belt. My answer to all of these questions is that it won't be much longer, and I can't wait.
The WWF is fighting from within, and all it is going to get them is the losing of the fan support. You don't insult the fans for long before it backfires on you. The insults by Bret Hart and the insults of the Heartbreak Kid makes me sick. You don't run down my country and get away with it. And you don't attack the fans without getting burned by it. My questions about the WWF are these.
How much longer are Golddust and Marlena going to waste their time in that getup, before picking on another angle?. How much longer is Hunter and his mangirl going to stay together? And when is the boss of the WWF, going to stop taking the insults by the wrestlers before he lays a fist on them? Speaking of laying of the fists on someone, I sure would like to see the King and Ross laid out.
I personally have been a fan of WCW since the NWA and AWA days, and I want to continue, but my set will be turned to another progam, until someone tells me that WCW has come to their senses, and decided to dump Eric, and whoever else, who masterminds this downfall that they have created.
Dean Malenko. Here is the only one wrestling today that actually wrestles. I personally think that this man deserves a match for the belt that Hogan wears in shame. At least this man knows how to wrestle. Wrestling has gotten away from what it is suppose to be, and that is bona-fide holds.
The Stinger will stay with WCW, because without him, they are doomed. Sting is waiting for just the right time to burst back in to actual matches, and when he does, all hell will break loose. As far as the NWO is concerned, you won't see Sting going that way. He is the backbone of the WCW, and I don't think that he is crazy enough to join an organization that thrives on hate and violence. Sting is the one man that could put WCW back on top, and when he makes that move, he will have all the WCW behind him.
I first saw Hogan when he was sort of a bad guy, and really wasn't a big name. I think that he was thrown into the star status by appearing in the Rocky movie. Some wrestlers have to have that push if they are going to be stars, and he got that push there. When he went into the WWF, he started being the good guy, but not until he took the knocks needed to make him appeal to the fans. The day that Hogan took the championship, he started up a friendship with the man that should of been the champ,Andre The Giant. I think that this was the first real step to gaining the fan support, needed to be the icon of wrestling. At that time someone had brains enough to add stars to the wrestlers, that the fans flock to see. Mr. T was one of these stars. Without these pushes by the promoters, Hogan would not of made it in wrestling. Nevertheless. Hogan did make it, and he went far. Maybe he went too far, and got too big. This is just my opinion, and not one to be meant as a professional statement. When Hogan left the WWF, everyone wondered why, because it looked like he found a home, where he would be the top dog. Evidenly it wasn't to be that way, and it was time to move on to greener pastures, and what better place than WCW where the big boys play. Hogan was a big plus for WCW, and no doubt that he made it better. The hulkster was a big drawing card and that brought better wrestlers to WCW too. But I feel that when they decided to make him a heel, they not only ruined him, but also it stated WCW on the road down too. Hogan was the man that the youngsters looked up to, and that was ruined also. You can only turn face once with a boni-fied wrestling fan, and after that you wonder how far it will be before he goes bad again. I personnaly feel that the career of Hogan as an idol is over, and also I feel that the big boy behind it all,Mr. Eric Bishoff, dug a hole that he can't get out of and survive as a force in pro wrestling. Both men should try to bow out as gracefully as they can, because the longer that they stay with this current angle, they will only be just memories. In this article I have given the past, present, and future of what was a great showman and idol of wrestling fans young and old. As I said earlier. this is my opinion, and I hope that maybe someone else will express their thoughts on this man called "THE HULKSTER-HULK HOGAN" .
The questions in pro wrestling are always why do you watch them. I answer only to that with this answer. I like it.
