Entering his ninth season with the Crunch, trainer Manny Economos continues to bring an extensive sports medicine background to the franchise.

    The native of Canton began his career as a trainer with the Miami Freedom of the American Professional Soccer League (3 years). He was also a trainer for the United States Under-1 6 and Under23 developmental Teams. During his stay in Miami,
Economos also held the positions of Head Athletic Trainer and Physical Education Instructor at Christopher High School.

He is a graduate of Canton McKinley High School, and  received a Bachelors in Health Education, with an emphasis in athletic training from Indiana University in 1981. Manny then went on to receive his Masters Degree in Physical Education from Western Michigan University.

    Economos is currently employed with The Peak at Marymount Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation Center in Garfield Heights. He is the Co-Director of FitQuest, a physical fitness program for children sponsored by Marymount Hospital in conjunction with the Cleveland Sportsplex. He and his wife Joanne and daughter Maria reside in Bay Village, Ohio.
