"Highlights from last year include taking the MCAT in Puerto Rico
less than 10 hours after competing in the World Championship finals; realizing
my goal of competing for my Nation's honor in the greatest of all sports
events, the Olympic Games; being accepted into medical school, and greeting
and chatting with President Clinton. Perhaps even more memorable
was teh feeling of American pride and unity at the Olympics. Hearing
over 30,000 American fans proudly cheer for our team, expressing their
deepest feelings of good will and admiration.
I'm looking forward to new friends and the chance
that each daybrings to move closer towards my new goals. I'm excited
about the mental, physical, and academic challenges that this year is sure
to bring. I'm looking forward to sharing my life experiences and
inspiring others to reach their dreams."

"Without a doubt, competing in the 1996 Olympics was the coolest
experience! Touring with my teammates in the John Hancock Tour was
great fun and I'm excited to continue it this year as well. My wife,
Kris, and I are looking forward to the birth of our second baby, a sister
for Gabriela, due in October. I'm also working hard at building a
personal training business."

"The coolest thing that happened to me last year was making the
1996 Olympic Gymnastics team at the team trials in Boston. I'm looking
forward to getting ready to move to New York City--the Big Apple!"
