"Mike Jeffry, Brian Powers, Russ Perry, and Kelly Pierce came up with four straight pins, fueling an early explosion that carried North Hunterdon, Number 5 in the Star-Ledger Wrestling Top 20, to a 59-21 victory over Watchung Hills...
"North Hunterdon, last year's NJSIAA Central Jersey, Group3 champion, steamrolled through the middle weights to open things up, Jeffry launched the spurt with a pin at 125 over Scott Desmond in 4:40 and Powers followed with a 47-second pin of John Kosnik at 130. Perry decked Mike Vitollo in 1:47 at 135 and Pierce capped the surge with a 24-second pin of Tom Lee at 140, bringing North Hunterdon a 36-6 lead."
The Junior Varsity also had an impressive showing in their matches against the Watchung Hills JV squad.
