Unfortunately, two days after the transfer deadline date, Wayde had to return to Norway, home country of his wife, due to family problems. He was a big loss to the team, as he was one of the top forwards of the team. It was in trying to replace Butch that the team lost out in signing Chris Rowland. It is now rumoured that Wayde will be joining Jim Fuyarchuk at the new London franchise, the Knights.
Like his linemate, Dale Junkin, Wayde had a very laid-back skating style. He drew some criticism last season for being too lazy, but silenced his critics with his regular goal-scoring. He and Dale had a very good understanding and when their line was one the ice there was always a chance of a goal being scored. He finished 10th overall in the league scorers table, last year.
Wayde is 6' 2" and weighs 190 lbs. He is from Prince Albert, Saskatchewan.
