Another very well known player, Matt Cote is Bracknell's only GB player. He is also the Saviour, God Walking Upon the Earth, He Who Should Be Worshipped On High, etc. Matt has been with Bracknell now for nine years, and has loyally resisted the temptation to jump ship, despite receiving good offers from better clubs. He is one of the most solid defencemen in the league, and rightly recognised as such. Although he does not go forward very often, when he does he normally shows up the forwards. But it as a stay-at-home defender that Matty excels, rarely being caught out of position. His special move is to dive in front of the puck just as somebody is about to take a shot, and he suffered severe injury a few years ago because of this.
