Personal: Joe is an experianced player who moved up to assistant coach over the summer with Dave Whistle's promotion. He is from Brantford, Ontario but can play on a Italian passport thanks to the Bosman ruling. He was born on the 1st May, 1966, weighs 177lbs and stands just 5'10" tall.
Style: Joe uses his short height, and accompanying low centre of gravity, to great effect. He is a very fluid skater, and hard to dispossess of the puck. Although not a great goal-scorer (he can at times be too unselfish), he is a fantastic play-maker, as last season's stats can atestify to. He has created an excellent understanding with line-mate Chris Brant.
Last Season: Last season was joe's second at Bracknell, and he was a pretty influential player. He finished with 18 goals and 52 assists in all competitions, putting him top of the Bees' scoring list. Joe was the scorer of the Bees' first goal in last year's Express Cup Final (incidentally making him the first Bees player to score in a senior final), which helped turn around the game in the Bees' favour and almost saw them draw level. Joe also jointly won the Player's Player of the Year Award, which he held alongside Brian Greer.
Career: Joe has been a well travelled player before joining the Bees. He had several years of minor league hockey in America with the likes of Adirondack, Winston-Salem and Richmond (where he played alongside Frank LaScala). After that, he moved to Italy, where he stayed for five seasons. his last team before joining Bracknell was HC Milano. Career Stats
