Last year's starting goalie, Big Jim knew that Dave wouldn't be of that calibre in the ISL, so he offered him the role of back-up. Although this means that Dave hasn't got much ice-tme, he is always ready when necessary. He is a good shot-stopper but gives up too many rebounds to allow his defence to relax. However, he is still only twenty, so has a lot of time to improve.
