Personal: Chris is a big Player, both in stature and in terms of importance to the team. Ask any opposition fan, and normally the player they fear the most is Chris Brant. He is also easily recognisable, as being a Native American Indian he has jet black hair (which he is regrowing), and his size. He met and married his wifer in the Netherlands, and so qualifies this way as an EU citizen. His birthday is the August, 1965. He stands 6'1 and weighs 195lbs. his nickname, for obvious reasons, is the Chief, and you can hear this rumbling around the Hive when he scores.
Style: Chris is equally at home on the Left Wing or in Defence. For the past few seasons, though, he has played as a winger, where his speed, beautiful skating and stick handling skills and big shot have all served him well. It is fair to say that Chris is one of the league's finesse players, and would grace any ISL team. His shot has been known to knock goalies out, it's so powerful (nine goalies KO'd, at the last count).
Last Season: Last season, playing on the same line as Joe Ferras and Dave Whistle (the oldtimers line), he struck up a good understanding with his linemates, particularly Ferras, and this helped him to his 57 points, near the top of the team. He was named Supporter's Player of the Year, and he should match his achievements this season too.
Career: Chief has previously played for Salt Lake Goldn Eagles, Binghampton Whalers (where he played longside Storm coach Kurt Kleinendorst) and five seasons with Geleen of Holand. He moved to the UK to play for Bees' arch rivals Basingstoke, but after being cut mid-season he was snapped up by Bracknell, a move many Basingstoke fans still regret. Career Stats
