Eagles open with victory over Arrows

Aberdeen Central jumped out to an early 8 - 0 lead and maintained that lead throughout the game in a season opening 42 - 39 win Saturday night at the Civic Arena. Despite some cold shooting from both the field and the freethrow line, the Eagles were able to make key baskets and get key rebounds down the stretch to hold off a scrappy Arrow team. Steph Rath lead the Eagles with 13 points and 11 rebounds. Next action for Aberdeen Central is Thursday night when they host the Brookings Bobcats at the Arena.
