Christian led the Blue Devils to consecutive NCAA titles in 1991, and 1992. Started in 4 Final Fours with the Blue Devils

Drafted 3rd overall in the NBA draft in 1992, Christian never really enjoyed his time in Minnesota. After several turbulent years, he was traded to Atlanta mid way through the 1995-96 season, in a deal that brought Andrew Lang and Spud Webb to the Timberwolves

Finding himself in Atlanta, coached once again by his olympic coach, Christian settled into life with a contending team, leading the Hawks to the playoffs.

Counter Prior to the 1998-99 season, Christian was traded to the Pistons for Scot Pollard and a conditional first round pick in the NBA entry draft in 1999.

Traded by Detroit along with Terry Mills, to Dallas in exchange for Cedric Ceballos, Eric Murdoch, John Wallace, and cash, on August.29, 2000

Traded in February, 2001, along with 5 other players to the Washington Wizards.
