| RESULT | 1 - 3 ... it was almost such a good day... |
| TEAM |
Folland, Watson, Whelan, Powell Beauchamp, Robinson, Murphy Cook, Anthrobus, Lilley |

| GOALS | 1-0 POWELL (72) - Dribbled past
three defenders, and shot home from a sharp angle. Brilliant, just brilliant.
1-1 BART-WILLIAMS (81) - Superb strike from outside the area hit the bar and went in. 1-2 BART-WILLIAMS (83) - Penalty. Lundin brought down Dougie Freedman (offside?) in a clumsy challenge. 1-3 ROGERS (89) - Alan Rogers broke from an Oxford corner, raced away, and shot through Arendse's legs. |

Oxford crumble in last few minutes
Nottingham Forest scored three in the last ten minutes to deny
Oxford a place in the FA Cup 4th
round as Paul Lundin was sent off.
The keeper saw red after upending Dougie Freedman only a few
minutes after Forest's equaliser
which came out of the blue.
Chris Bart-Williams let fly with a super strike from distance
which clipped the underside of the bar
as it whistled into the back of the net.
Oxford had gone ahead only ten minutes earlier when Paul Powell
burst through the inside left
channel and cracked his shot past Dave Beasant into the top
corner, although it may have been
deflected.
Bart-Willliams stepped up to fire Forest ahead via the penalty
which left sub Andre Arendse
plucking the ball out of the back of the net with his first
touch.
Alan Rogers completed the scoring in the 89th minute but Forest
had looked down and out after
Paul Powell's opener for United only 18 minutes before.
