Beauchamp, Robinson, Murphy, Powell
Lilley, Cook
SUBS Anthrobus (for Cook, 62)

GOALS 1 - 0 MURPHY (83) - A powerful header over the keeper, from a Beauchamp corner.
PERFORMANCE A return to 4-4-2, but not to stylish football. Even against ten men we didn't convince at all.
MAN OF MATCH Joey BEAUCHAMP - Again a good home performance, he reduced Cambridge to ten men with his trickery.
BOOKINGS None.
ATTENDANCE 6,772 - A good bank holiday crowd. A London Road sell-out made it the highest league gate of the season.
REFEREE Phillip Dowd (Stoke-on-Trent) - Terrible, terrible, terrible. Some decisions were mind-boggling.

TEAMTALK

  Murphy the hero
A late strike by Matt Murphy proved to be just enough to see off a stubborn Cambridge side 1-0 at
  the Manor this afternoon.
Ten man Cambridge frustrated United for much of the afternoon but Murphy came to the rescue
  just seven minutes from time.
Cambridge were reduced to ten men in the opening half when Martin McNeil was handed his
second yellow card after his second late tackle on Joey Beauchamp.
After a disappointing first 45 minutes Oxford came to life and began to create more chances in
  the second period.
Derek Lilley was the main culprit when missing two good opportunities. First of all when blasting
over after Robinson had put him in the clear and then when shooting high over the bar from 18
  yards out.
Beauchamp was also guilty of missing a good chance before Murphy blasted the winner.
