TEAMTALK

   Bees overpowers U's
Oxford were beaten 2-0 by Brentford at Griffin Park on Saturday, the goals
coming from Lloyd Owusu and Darren Powell.
The U's have struggled this season and lie in 18th place with just 11 points
   from 12 games.
However, this latest result could have been very different had the visitors
taken a chance in the opening minute - but Derek Lilley's striker flew just
   wide.
In truth, the first half is best forgotten, but after the interval, the game
livened up and Brentford took the ascendancy.
After Owusu, Scott Partridge and Paul Evans went close, the Bees
eventually took the lead on 66 minutes when Owusu latched on to Bryan's
   through ball and slotted home.
Oxford were denied an equaliser 15 minutes from time when Andy
Woodman saved from Steve Anthrobus and just to rub salt in the wound,
the hosts added a second goal two minutes from time when Powell headed
   home Gavin Mahon's corner.
