Swans sunk as U's pick up first away win
Oxford picked up their first away win of the season as they won 2-1
at Swansea, with goals from Joey Beauchamp and Keith Andrews.
Swansea got off to the expected start when Steve Watkin touched home
his third goal of the season after just 12 minutes.
A superb 25 yard effort from Joey Beauchamp levelled matters, before
loan signing Keith Andrews drove the ball home through a crowded penalty
area.
Despite eight previous defeat on their travels, Oxford easily kept
at bay a woeful Swansea side. The Swans rallied late on but by then had
already been reduced to 10 men when Matt Bound was sent off for elbowing
U's new boy Phil Gray, leaving the ten men to struggle.
Richard Knight was forced into two late saves to guarantee David Kemp's
men all three points but anything less would have been harsh on the visitors.
