Koryo

Koryo (First 1� Black Belt Form):
Hold Koryo position at the beginning and end for a few seconds before returning to attention.

Facing North, Chareut, Chenye. Koryo Ready Position- Start with hands cupped slightly, palms facing each other, thumbs at the top, about 8" away from body in front of solar plexus. Slowly bring hands up, rotating as they come, until thumbs are down. Once the hands are in front of the face, exhale, and push them out until they are about 12" away.

Step into left L-stance facing West, double knife hand guarding block.

Right foot double side kick, medium, high, landing in right extended walking stance, right outside knife hand strike to the throat, left reverse punch, switch to right L-stance, right inside block.

Pivot 180� on left (rear) foot W-N-E until facing East in right L-stance, double knife hand guarding block.

Left foot double side kick, medium, high, landing in left extended walking stance, left outside knife hand strike to the throat, right reverse punch, switch to left L-stance, left inside block.

Pivot 90� on right (rear) foot E-N until facing North in left extended walking stance, left knife hand low section block, right reverse throat grab.

Right front kick through the throat grab landing in right extended walking stance, right knife hand low section block, left reverse throat grab.

Left front kick through the throat grab landing in left extended walking stance, left knife hand low section block, right reverse throat grab.

Right front kick through throat grab landing in right extended walking stance, left reverse knee break.

Pivot 180� on right (front) foot N-E-S until facing South in right extended walking stance.

Double outside spreading block, left front kick landing in left extended walking stance, right reverse knee break, draw left foot back into left walking stance, double outside spreading block.

Pivot 90� on left (front) foot S-W until facing West in left cat stance, double knife hand guarding block.

Bring left hand out, then punch right hand into target, close left hand over right fist, step-through left side kick landing facing the opposite direction (East) in right walking stance, left reverse groin grab-twist-pull, right low section block as shifting into right L-Stance.

Step forward into left walking stance, left knife hand pressure block.

Step forward into horse stance facing North, bring right fist into open left hand, right elbow strike to the East, shift into right L-stance, facing East, double knife hand guarding block.

Bring right hand out, then punch left hand into target, close right hand over left fist, step-through side kick right landing facing the opposite direction (West) in left walking stance, right reverse groin grab-twist-pull, left low section block as shifting into left L-stance.

Step forward into right walking stance, right pressure block.

Step forward into horse stance facing North, bring left fist into open right hand, left elbow strike to the West.

Move right foot in a small circle and back towards left foot until feet are together; at the same time make a large circle with the open right hand and closed left fist until they come together in front of the body, left fist palm up, resting against a right knife hand.

Pivot 180� on the right foot until facing South in left extended walking stance, left outside knife hand throat strike, left knife hand low section block.

Step forward into right extended walking stance, right inside knife hand throat strike, right knife hand low section block.

Step forward into left extended walking stance, left inside knife hand throat strike, left knife hand low section block.

Step forward into right extended walking stance, right throat grab, co-power.

Return to Koryo ready position facing North.
