PISCES 19th February - 20 March
Pisces is the twelfth and last sign in the Zodiac. With implications of hidden depths, Water sign Pisceans are mystical, imaginative, peace loving people with a need for privacy and posessing a strong spiritual sensitivity. Deeply intuitive and often influenced by spiritualism and the Occult, Pisceans are natural psychics and mediums.
POSITIVE TRAITS

Intelligent and in a creative sence, inspired, having perceptive powers of interpretation, Pisceans can be pure idealists who enjoy supporting good causes.
NEGATIVE TRAITS
Difficulty in making decisions and concentrating on practical matters can cause the Piscean to drift ineffectually. Due to hypersensitivity, they may also suffer from mood swings, guilt complexes and an inability to express them selves clearly. Procrastination is inherent to the Piscean nature and self dicipline in this respect may be necessary. Dwelling in a Neptunian Dream World often means that Pisceans resort to alcohole and drugs to fulfill their need for emotional and mental stimulation.
MYTHOLOGY OF PISCES;
Roman mythology recalls how Venus and Cupid were chased by Typhon, leapt into the Euphrates and were saves by two fish. Granted a place in the heavens by the grateful Goddess, these were known thereafter as The Fishes. The Piscean mysteries have long had intimate links with the Church and the dawn of the Age of Pisces saw the birth of Christ and the development of Christianity. The fish became the secret symbol og Christ, a symbolism embodied in the ritual of Baptism by water. Perhaps with Astrological significance, Jesus chose disciples whom he called the Fishers of Men.

This gemstone is said to be associated with the Wine God, Bacchus who, on frightening a young maid so that she was transformed into roc crystal, sighed, and when his breath touched her, her veins ran purple as the colour of wine. Amethyst has associations with the Church and is known as the Papal gemstone. It is said to protect the wearer from drunkness. Of all the Jewels, the Amethyst was most treasured by Roman Matrons because it was believed to preserve the inviolate affection of their husbands.
The ancients believe that the amethyst was used to gain political power and that it would change colour when placed near poison. It was said that the Holy Grail itself was carved from Amethyst. Once used as a charm against contagious diseases, the amethyst is said to heal and comfort suffers from stress and psychosomatic illness, and if the gemstone is worn about the person, it enriches the blood and increases resistance to infection.
