Days Eight and Nine -Mycenae and Athens

The view from the top of the hill of the archeological site in Mycenae

Mycenae was very nice. There was no guided tour, so I got to explore on my own. The view was terrific and the plantlife was beautiful. I met up with a couple of other people on the tour at the top of the hill, and we walked down together, seeing butterflies, a snake and even a kitten on the way.

Athens was the city I believed it was. I liked it a lot. I spent time in the stores in Placa. I modeled expensive gold jewelry for other people in our group. We ate Greek food. It was a lot of fun.

And, of course, we saw the sights. We saw the Acropolis, the Temple of the Olympian Zeus and even took a trip to Cape Sonioun to see the Temple of Poisedon. I hated to leave to come back home at three in the morning on day 10.

Another "prove I was there" picture by the Parthenon in Athens. Beside me is Leanne.
