Welcome to the Revisions Guide. I assume, since you're here, that you're actually interested in what I'm doing here. So I'll tell you.
--My Vision--
This site hasn't been updated in over 2 years. That's pretty silly. Despite the number of hits I'm still getting, and the number of people who still fill out my forms, the reality is that I've lost interest in the old site, and my traffic is way off of its peak. The old ratio of content to style was terribly off-balance, and I'm tired of it. My vision is to create a site with unique, dynamic, interesting content, in a more or less pleasing and easily accessible format. I'm going to drop most of my high-graphics styles, and minimize the use of Java and other tools that limit my audience. My other objective is to create a site I'm actually interested in updating. Wish me luck! I think I'm going to need it!
-- The New Plan --
Okay, fine, scratch all of that stuff that's down there, because it's NOT going to happen. Or rather, it hasn't happened; we're more than a month past the deadline. Therefore, I have a new plan, and it goes a little something like this:
Goal One: Publish content
Yeah, I know, revolutionary concept. I'm going to begin uploading various papers, stories, poems, and projects in the coming weeks; I plan to have about 30-40 documents up by Christmas. Most of it will be older; there will also be pages devoted to my off-site publishing (at Blogspot, FictionAlley, and hopefully Elfwood). All the materials on those three sites will be new.
Goal Two: Write new content
At the moment, the focus is going to be primarily on gathering high-quality links, posting new school stuff as soon as the assignments are done (that is, my final paper in Geology won't be posted until after everyone in that class has turned theirs in), and perhaps working a little bit on some of my more interesting projects. Later on I'll start working on the harder stuff (like the Russian Harry Potter section... sigh).
Goal Three: Publicity
This is the least important for the future, as far as I'm concerned. I just need to get content up for the moment. If any people find content they want to link to, that's fine, but the only publicity I'm seeking is going to be in my signature files.
So that's the new plan. Notice the lack of deadlines? Yeah, me too. The trouble is that, unlike my senior year of high school, this website can't be the big priority that it used to be. I'm 22 -- I have church, school, and a life (and hopefully soon, a job). There are interesting places to go, people to talk to, and things to do, and I'm not willing to lose sleep over the website. I definitely plan to have a web presence, but it's not the all-consuming lust for hits that I once posessed. Anyway, it should still be worth visiting, eventually.

--Updates--
7 March 2002
Okay, so I've fallen slightly behind -- I'm most of the way through archiving now, and should be done by the 15th of March. Fortunately, March's goal of reorganization shouldn't take me very long, and then I'll be back on track. Meanwhile, I've been brainstorming some interesting new features for the new site -- stay tuned for the details!
10 April 2002
D'oh!!! Looks like someone got a little distracted, LOL! Well, it turns out, there were other things I needed to do in my life besides this website... most notably lining up for Star Wars! Check out my new sub-site on this at this address. I've completely revamped the goals for the site's overall development in light of this new activity, but still intend to open for real on October 23rd as originally planned. Once archival is complete, look to see the first content/sitemap information go up, linked from this page! May the Force be with us all...
10 April 2002, take two
Guess what! All the archiving and deleting is DONE!!!! I just deleted the last unused directory, leaving only the Star Wars and graphics files, really. I now have... 12 megabytes to play with, heehee! While I wait in line I'll be doing my design work, and when I come home during the week I'll be updating the actual site. In theory this will let me get back on track, so I can devote more time in the summer to actual content LOL. Things are looking up!
9 June 2002
Okay, so ummm, the line took up a little bit more time than I thought it might. Suffice to say that getting to be 11th in line (out of what, 94?) required a lot of time out in Hollywood. So, ehehe... the schedule's been a bit tweaked again. Let's try and get this done, right? Yeah... must stay motivated... (okay, I'm talking to myself, it's bad, but it's 1am!!! Cut me some slack here!)
25 June 2002
Wow, time surely flies, especially when you're job hopping, registering for school, attending lots of post-Star Wars line events, and so on. BUT this isn't a time for excuses -- it's a time to celebrate! For the first time since April one of my goals has been completed! As of 8pm, Pacific Time, my internal site map has been completed, all my files have been relocated, all my directories have been renamed/deleted/created, and the entire infrastructure of the site is in it's planned state. Obviously there's going to be plenty of changes/updates to that over time, but the good news is, the next stop is content. Content Phase One focuses just on getting the basics out there, deciding on what documents and features are critical for the opening, and preparing my intra-site links. Also look forward to seeing the first few new images, and more details on what the content will be, here on the Revisions page. We're looking to be coming in just in time for the official deadline, which is next Sunday night, five days from now. In any case, big things are happening here, and as one of my 7 visitors, you can be proud to know that you are a part of it in some small way. ^_^

Oooopsies... okay, some minor neglect has been occurring. Big whoop, right? Changed around the deadlines, of course. However, I'm doing some hefty editing and uploading tonight, so I might end out revising the deadlines again with a more positive outlook. WE CAN DO THIS.
