HISTORY OF KOLEJ AMAN

In 1992, Kolej Aman chose Batu Pahat, a small town in Johor, to start a branch college. Kolej Aman had an arrangement with the management of the Chinese High School Batu Pahat to start a course in its premises. Initially, it was aimed to cater mainly for the graduates of the Chinese High School and also to accommodate SPM and STPM students of government aided schools in and around Batu Pahat. The courses offered then were accounting and business studies only. Unfortunately, the response in general was not that encouraging. However, the college persevered and continued to provide an avenue for students of humble background to study locally. By the end of 1996, Kolej Aman Batu Pahat had an enrolment of about 70 students.

In 1997, Kolej Aman moved its premises to a double-storey building opposite The Summit to accommodate an influx of students and offering a wider choice of courses. The courses include marketing, management, accounting and business information system. The college now boasts of a computer room with internet access, a well stocked library, 4 lecture rooms, 1 study room, 1 rest room and an office, all fully air-conditioned for the comfort of its students. The students are well tutored by a team of knowledgeable, experienced and dedicated local as well as foreign lecturers. The college also provides recreational activities by setting up various clubs such as the Students’ Association, Rotaract Club, Badminton Club, Table Tennis Club, Basketball Club, Volleyball Club and Football Club for an all rounded development of its students.

With the completion of the new campus at Bukit Sentosa, students can now complete their courses there. Hence, saving them time and money. Students can also opt to finish the course overseas.
