I treasure anything that I feel is of value in my life. My feelings, aspirations, goals, emotions are always first and farmost next to God. Therefore, any man who takes my hand must, first of all, know himself. What do I mean by that...he must know what he wants, how he wants it, when and where he's gonna go to get it. Now, you say that's not alot to ask. You'd be surprised.
He must be able to respect the fact that I am a Strong, Independent Black Woman and I don't need a man to do nothing for me because I can do it for myself. He must have a self-respect about himself and women, in general.
He must be considerate of my and his own feelings. The most important aspect, to me, in any relationship is the ability to communicate with my partner about any and everything. Without communication, we have no trust for each other, no honesty, or just anything. I can't help him and he can't help me.
Okay, I'm not gonna lie to you if I didn't say looks aren't important. Forget the myth that it's what is on the inside that counts. Shoot, I gotta look at you first! hee hee..Sorry, looks are important to me.
I want someone who does not limit himself to the norm. I mean, I love going to fine arts, whether it is a play, ballet, museum, whateva. I want someone who is well-rounded and open to explore all of life. It is too short not to.
