Hi All!

I hope you have been doing well. I've been doing pretty darned good. Work's
been hectic, as usual, but it hasn't felt all "high pressure" and "stressful"
so I guess it's OK.

A few weeks ago (4, now that I look at the calender) I went out to
Massachusetts to see my honey on a CyberSaver. I finally flew into Boston
(Logan) airport, I got to ride the T, and we went to Chinatown to see what they
were doing for Chinese New Year. But that was a no-go, the parade and
festivities were over by the time we got there. :-(

Oh well, I had a really great dinner at the "Taiwan Cafe". It was like potroast,
but over rice, and with a really good sauce.

That weekend Scott gave me my birthday present: A 6 foot USB cable (for our
webcams) and a Cappucino thermometer (for the milk I froth for my cappucinos at
work). "But wait," you say, "that's not romantic!" True, but you forget that
Valentine's was yet to come, and I would get my romantic gifts then.

So, fast forward a weekend (all the good stuff happens on the weekends) and I
was up in Traverse City for Sam & Rand's birthday bash. Yes, the double-
thirtieth party. There was much New Kids On the Block, much dancing, and much
cake. It was almost like being in 8th grade all over again, without the "girls
only" mentality.

Oh, I almost forgot to mention: Feb 4th was our 6 month anniversary. We didn't
really celebrate, but it is notable that there have only been about 7 days in
which we have not talked on the phone since we started dating.

Back to Valentine's day (extended) weekend, I flew into Providence, RI
Wednesday night and Scott and I got a hotel in Bourne, MA. Which is just past
New Bedford, a client that I'm doing things for right now. The only thing notable
about New Bedford: A blinking, animated red sign of a horse running that indicated
a restaurant near the highway. I'm presuming we went around New
Bedford, rather than through.

Thursday morning we continued the journey out to Provincetown, on the tip of
Cape Cod. We took the AAA-designated scenic route, which was pretty nice, and
even walked out onto the beach at a couple of points. Mind you, it was REALLY
FREAKIN' COLD, but it was pretty. I took a shell, as a souvenir.

Provincetown was "quaint", very touristy, but this is the off season, so few of the
shops were open. We had lunch at a Ross' Grill, very good ceasar salad.
The hotel was great, the kitchen is right by the front door, and they had warm
cookies waiting when we checked in. In the evening there was a wine and cheese
tasting, to allow the guests to mingle, and in the morning a great breakfast of
sweet potato pancakes, shortbread, and then cold foods (fruit salad, granola,
cereal, bagels).

On Valentine's day proper we drove back to Worcester, and we had a pretty
mellow weekend. On Monday, when I was supposed to fly back, there was a
blizzard going on and the airports were closed so I had to reschedule for
Tuesday. So, Scott and I hung artwork on his walls. Yay! He has a real house
now! All adult and everything! ^_^

Tha brings us up to last weekend, when I was planning to see Jeannine, Jaime,
Nadia, and Stacie. I ended up just shopping with Stacie at the outlet mall in
Howell, before the big storm came in. Everyone else: I hope to see you soon,
and sorry I haven't called!

Right now, I'm crocheting a blanket for Scott (my boyfriend, not my brother)
which is half done. I'm also taking that assembly language class, and I have
my first exam in a week, so I should study. I just finished reading "How to
read a french fry" which is a non-technical food science book. I also helped
Stacie find a cookbook she's been looking for forever, "Better Homes and Gardens
New Junior Cookbook". Ah, a book from my youth. Also from my youth is
the "Betty Crocker Cooky Book" which my parents gave my as half of my birthday
present; it's a reprint of the original 1963 version. Very cool. And even more
nostalgia: On eBay I just bought a print of "Daily Bread", a painting of
an old man praying over his dinner which my grandparents had in their dining
room. I'm planning to put it in my kitchen, above the stove.

Right now I'm also researching Solar cooking, I meant to make a solar cooker
last summer buut never got around to it. This year, darnit, I'm going to!

Also this summer, I'm planning to take "Internet Publishing III" at WCC.

Yay! Much with the busy! Keeps me from getting bored!
