Quick update: - Went on my first Business trip last week: Training in Conway NH (our home office) on new software we're using, Data junction (www.datajunction.com) - Spent the remainder of the week - thursday night thru Sunday a.m. - with my boyfriend Scott. Yay! We baked cookies and watched "Sprited Away" in a theater near Boston. Then Saturday a.m. we went to Boston for Dim Sum and then walked the Freedom trail. I got to see Paul Revere's house and eat cannoli and chase pigeons. I didn't chase the geese though. I also wanted my picture taken riding a brass goose in the gardens, but there were lots of adults around I got embarrassed & chickened out. - The weekend before I was up in Traverse City and went to an SCA (www.sca.org) event - Vikings come home (http://www.midrealm.org/donnershafen/Vikings.htm) - with Lorie, Jill, Sam, and Randy. Much fun, much shopping, much jewelry and knives. I went to a "Wenching 101" class and learned how to properly kilt check -_^ - Also that weekend I got to see Jeannine and give her her birthday present. Yay for needlework! Hurrah! We got to chat a bit, and she and her husband Justin were bent on discovering ghost towns on the Leelanau Peninsula. How cool is that? - The weekend before THAT I was in Worcester Massachusetts with my Scott. Yep, lots of travelling lately. That was my first weekend out there, we went sailing on lake Quinsigamond and Scott made me a Brisket. A much more laid back weekend, and we both got a LOT more sleep than this past weekend. Watching anime until 2 a.m. an hour from home makes for very late nights! - This weekend Scott and I are meeting up in Niagara for a nice little getaway at the Falls. I've never seen them before, I think it'll be pretty cool. I want to take the "Maid of the mist" boat ride and maybe do a winery tour. Niagara-on-the-lake is known for its very good wineries. - Tonight I am making jam. First try at canning, wish me luck! - Tonight I also have Spanish class. I'm scraping by. Last night I was debating on dropping the class so I wouldn't have to do the homework. But I got up at 7:30 to do the homework, and by God I'm going to complete this class. It's a course at a community college, I cannot let it defeat me! - October 26th is Scott's Mom's wedding. And I'm going. Wish me luck! - Nov 8th-11th I will again be in Worcester. Whoo! Frequent flier miles! Only 14 more flights until I get a free one! ;-> OK, end of the quick update. I hope everyone is doing well. Jen, I hope your move goes smoothly. Talk to y'all later! -Amy
