    !!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I HAVE A NEW APARTMENT  !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 


I'm signing the lease tomorrow morning at 11 a.m. 

The house is on Jewett in Ann Arbor. Here's my best description: 

"It's a 1 bedroom, but it's kinda like a large studio.  The bathroom is 
an OK size, but it only has a stall.  The studio/1 bed conundrum is b/c 
the bedroom is large, but the dining/living area is so small.  I'm not 
sure what it is, exactly ;-)  It's either a pretty good size dining area 
or a very, very small living area with tile instead of carpet.On the plus 
side, though, there's an 8x10 patio in the back, a very large yard, and 
the renter in the front (it's a duplex) has a hot tub.  There's a good 
amount of storage, the oven/stove is brand new, and there's off-street 
parking.  It's in a very quiet residential neighborhood." 

It's such a nice neighborhood that when I walked through it a couple of 
months ago I was thinking "Man, I'd love to buy a house here!"  And many 
of the places are small enough that I could maybe even afford them. 

In other news: I picked up a table at the side of the road / presuming it 
was trash on Friday. Yesterday I took the top off (parts were already off, 
it's in slats). Then I glued the top back on and clamped it overnight. 
Tonight I'm glueing the rest of it back on and clamping it, and giving 
the whole deal a dousing with lemon oil. It's a great wood moisturizer, 
the table is starting to look pretty snazzy. It's solid oak, it has a 
drop leaf (the other one is MIA), and will work perfectly in my new 
apartment. 

What else is going on?  Well, I'm going to Southampton again this year, 
I leave Saturday and I'm getting back sometime Wednesday, so when you 
can't reach me at all... you know where I am ;-) 

I'm also thinking of bringing Bert into work; I have a 10 gallon tank 
sitting next to me right now that he will go in.  I can have my baby by 
my side all the time! ^_^
