Cosmic Amanda began spraying the WMWM airwaves with her can of sunshine as host of a progressive/alternative program on Tuesdays from noon-3pm in the fall of 1994. The Cheea Planet was born. By spring, Cosmic moved to the 6-9pm slot on Fridays and turned the show into a forum for local and bizarre music.
In 1997, Cosmic Amanda again changed formats and began broadcasting one hour of disco at the end of each show. In 1998 "Stayin' Alive on the Cheea Planet" became a three-hour program featuring the Moon Boot Lover and Luvable Lindsay. In 1999, Cabbie Ed became the first listener to cross over and become part of the crew.
